We're seeking a diligent and creative Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Officer, adept at strategising and executing internal communications plans, and fostering employee engagement within the public sector.

Our client is a reputable public sector authority with a headcount 1000+. They play an important role in protecting businesses & consumers in the UK. Their headquarters are based in central London but operate across the UK & Northern Ireland

Description

  • Support in the development and ongoing delivery of the Internal Communications and Engagement Strategy including evaluation and reporting.
  • Lead on the planning, development and delivery of new, complex projects and campaigns, from inception to delivery.
  • Devise and deliver high quality communication plans for individual projects which align with organisational goals and objectives and meets the needs of diverse staff audiences.
  • Create and edit, clear, engaging and informative audience appropriate content, for a variety of internal communication channels, ensuring effective quality assurance and governance and maintaining consistent messaging and tone. Including:

o Video production

o Copy writing

o Digital channels

o Presentations

o Events

  • Contribute to the internal communication response to developing and crisis situations which affect organisational perception and internal reputation.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to support and lead on a range of employee engagement activities, such as workshops or other face-to-face events,

Profile

A successful 'Senior Internal Communications & Engagement Officer' will be able to demonstrate:

  • Substantial track record of developing content across a variety of platforms and for a diverse range of audiences, including excellent written and oral communication skills, presenting complex information in a clear and understandable form, and presenting information in an influential and confident way.
  • Experience of using a range of creative communication tools and digital platforms to engage and communicate with diverse audiences and use technology to drive change and improve processes.
  • Experience of developing plans and delivering a range of complex programmes, campaigns, projects and business-as-usual activities, ensuring they are delivered with an agile and responsive approach to time and quality standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building experience and skills including a tried and tested ability to influence senior colleagues.
  • Ability to monitor communication metrics and implementing evaluation tools to enhance processes to drive improved performance.
  • Strong planning skills, including the ability to successfully organise and prioritise work
  • Hybrid working model - 40% office based in central London
