A distinguished primary school in Pangbourne (RG8) is seeking an LSA for a September start to join their Key Stage 1 (KS1) class. This two-form entry primary school, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, is looking for a graduate available for a long-term role starting as soon as possible. Ideal candidates are teaching assistants with prior experience in a school setting. The school serves many West Berkshire Primary students with SEND/SEN/SENCO needs, including challenging behaviors, difficult home situations, ASD, and ADHD.
The role offers £83 - £90 per day.
LSA - Pangbourne, Reading - September start requirements:
- Mandatory enhanced child DBS
- Experience with KS1 or children aged 5 - 11 years old, or young people with additional care needs (SEN)
- Experience managing challenging behaviors
- A calm and caring personality
- Strong resilience and commitment to pupil development
- Proficiency in reading, writing, numeracy, and communication
- Team Teach training (desirable)
Desirable qualifications:
- Degrees 2:2 or higher in Childcare, Education, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or STEM subjects
- HTLA/NQV Level 2/3 in Childcare/EYFS
