Location: On the road - with regular travel to Midlands office required
Overview: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful Regional Sales Manager will help achieve annual sales targets by cultivating and expanding opportunities with both existing and potential customers. This role involves providing exceptional technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction. Regular travel to meet with new and existing customers across the UK and Ireland will be necessary to promote the complete range of products and assist in designing technical solutions.
Duties:
- Work towards exceeding annual sales and margin targets
- Manage and motivate staff within the administration and sales teams
- Ensure the continued success of the area sales teams
- Deal with escalations and queries from sales team members when required
- Keep in touch regularly with existing customers and encourage new business
- Source new business and prospects
- Plan and attend customer visits and develop key accounts
- Liaise with accounts department to assess new customers for credit suitability
- Register quotes and returns on the in house system
- Maintain a high level of technical ability
- Provide technical support to internal staff
- Arrange and host customer visits to company premises
- Participate in exhibitions as required
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Proficient knowledge of electronics and hydraulics
- A background in management is preferred
- Full, clean driving license
