Lecturer in Travel and Tourism - Aviation

Join our dynamic team at the West London Campus as a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism, specialising in Aviation. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the airline/aviation and hospitality industries, aiming to prepare learners for successful careers in these sectors or for further education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach a range of Travel and Tourism courses, from Level 1 to Level 5, with a focus on Aviation.
- Engage and motivate young vocational learners aged 16-19.
- Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote progress and success.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student learning experience.
- Participate in departmental and college activities, and liaise with local employers, particularly around Heathrow airport, to enhance learning opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area; a degree is highly desirable.
- Experience working in the travel industry, particularly in aviation.
- Some teaching or training experience, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in teaching, with support provided for obtaining a Level 5 teaching qualification.
