Major Loss Property Claims Handler

Posted by STRIDE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT LTD.

We are currently seeking an exceptional and experienced Major Loss Property Claims Handler to join our client's Large Loss Team as a Senior Claims Technician. This role offers the opportunity to manage a portfolio of complex and high-value property claims, ensuring that each case is handled with the utmost professionalism and expertise.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing significant Commercial Property claims, often exceeding £500K in value. The claims portfolio will primarily involve Commercial Property losses, including incidents such as fire, flood, and storm damage, as well as business interruption and alternative accommodation claims. You will be expected to provide proactive claims management from initial notification through to settlement, while maintaining exceptional customer service, accurate estimating, and stringent control of indemnity spend.

The role also involves building and maintaining excellent working relationships with Loss Adjusters, Solicitors, Contractors, Suppliers, Policyholders and internal colleagues. Additionally, you will be encouraged to share your knowledge and support the development of other team members and the wider claims community.

To be considered, you will have extensive experience in handling high-value and complex Commercial Property claims, ideally with settlements of at least £500K. While experience with residential claims and third party property claims is advantageous, it is not essential. Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills are essential.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary up to £60,000, an annual company and performance-based bonus. The comprehensive benefits package includes but not limited to a contributory pension scheme (with up to 12% employer contributions), life assurance (up to 10 times annual salary), and 25 days of annual leave plus the option to buy or sell up to five additional days of leave. This is a hybrid working opportunity, where you will attend the office 2 days per week and work from home the remaining 3 days.
