About the Role

Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading Top 20 Accountancy Practice in Manchester who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit RI (Responsible Individual) to join their dynamic team in Manchester. This role is offering the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and gain exposure to various industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service. As an Audit RI, you will be responsible for leading and managing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and providing strategic insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Audit Engagements:

  • Plan, execute, and finalise audit engagements in accordance with auditing standards.

  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of audit assignments.

  • Client Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Provide expert advice on financial reporting and business issues.

  • Address client concerns and resolve audit-related issues promptly.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure audits are conducted in compliance with UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and ensure the team is updated.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior audit staff.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Review and approve audit reports and financial statements.

  • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in audit documentation.

  • Strategic Insight:

  • Provide clients with strategic recommendations to enhance their business performance.

  • Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Professional Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA or equivalent.

  • Must hold RI status or be eligible for RI status.

  • Experience:

  • Significant experience in audit, with a proven track record of managing complex audit engagements.

  • Experience in a leadership role within an audit function.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.

  • Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High level of integrity and professional ethics.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
