Reed is excited to recruit a Technical Customer Service Advisor for our client based in Yatton, North Somerset.
This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a professional with strong experience in customer service, organisational skills and 2D AutoCAD. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting both the technical estimator and the sales team, ensuring the highest level of service is provided to customers.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Assist with new business enquiries and process customer requests accurately.
- Utilise the company's quotation system to prepare precise quotes.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to obtain information and progress orders.
- Collaborate with the QC manager, die shop, and production departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage die shop administration, including ordering dies or parts and preparing production paperwork.
- Develop packing specifications for transport, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records for full traceability of all activities.
- Uphold quality standards by reporting any defects and suggesting improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
- Computer literate with an understanding of technical drawings.
- Excellent telephone manner with effective communication skills.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with an understanding of design principles.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
- Team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy with the capability to perform detailed calculations.
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience with Excel databases.
- Aptitude for learning new software applications quickly.
Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm (45-minute lunch)
- Friday: 8.30am - 4.00pm (1-hour lunch)
