Job Outline:
We are now looking for a Lead Engineer to lead the Product Development for a growing manufacturer of optical technologies at their Head Office in Suffolk.
In this new role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering new and existing products.
With strong Project Management, and Leadership skills you will be actively involved in product development, and engineering.
Working with the Engineering, Development and NPI Teams you will develop, implement, manage and monitor the technology roadmap.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Procurement and Sales you will ensure new products are delivered on time, to budget and to customer requirements.
This is a new role with a growing company, where you can make your mark, and be instrumental in defining a future for yourself and the company too. Future career progression is offered with the strong possibility of moving up to a Senior Engineering Management role in the near future.
Experience:
To succeed as Lead Engineer, you should have previously worked in a similar engineering role, ideally working in optics, materials and mechanical design.
With experience working as Lead Engineer / Manager, you should have successfully led teams and projects to meet project timelines and budgets.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering is required with at least 3 years' of lead / management experience.
