You'll find solutions to solve everyday problems for patients such as:
- Providing, highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions to support patients' needs.
- Efficiently managing a caseload to formulate and implement strategies to meet your patient's goals.
- Working within or alongside a multi-disciplinary team to effectively assess and intervene with your patients' psychological needs.
- Mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
- BSc Psychology (or equivalent recognised by BPS) and post-graduate doctorate training or statement of equivalence from BPS.
- Doctoral level training in Clinical, Counselling or Health Psychology.
- Ability to effectively manage a clinical caseload alongside other professional responsibilities.
- Experience of working with MDT teams in a medical setting
- High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences and convey complex and sensitive information.
- Interest in or experience of working with people with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Knowledge of risk assessment within medical settings.
It would also be desirable to have:
- Additional training in approaches valuable in health settings e.g. ACT, CFT, EMDR.
- Experience of supervising qualified and trainee psychologists.
- Familiarity with working remotely as well as face to face.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:
- Relevant Qualifications
- Registration with the relevant Registration Body
