About the Role:
Join my Clients Power Electronics design centre as an Engineering Manager, leading a dynamic team to develop scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable power electronics technology.
You will need to be a proven, strong leader of technical design teams of between 10 & 20 skilled engineers, to drive innovation and standardization across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a team of engineers to achieve goals and objectives.
- Monitor and report on team and project performance, fostering a performance-based culture.
- Coach and mentor team members, enhancing technical capabilities.
- Support the Divisional Director in strategy development and execution.
- Collaborate with engineering and business leaders to drive technology adoption and design methodologies.
- Promote engineering excellence within the Power design team and business units.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in electronics design and product development.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Proven leadership skills and technical expertise.
- Strong project management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new industries or products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in power electronics design, especially for safety-critical applications.
- Broad knowledge of power electronics, including topology, circuits, thermal management, control, and firmware.
- Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., MIL standards).
- Experience in diverse cultural settings with global teams.
- Design for Six Sigma certification.

Other:
Up to 15% domestic and international travel is required.
