**Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our Clients busy Estates team in Guildford. The role involves operational maintenance across their estate, ensuring the Mechanical & Electrical systems and environmental control systems are maintained in a safe, efficient, and functional order. You will be working on a shift pattern, undertaking both planned and reactive work on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Maintain all mechanical systems in accordance with current legislative requirements.
- Report failing plant or assets to the Helpdesk and ensure plant areas are well-maintained.
- Deliver effective maintenance services in response to the estates demands.
- Comply with all Health & Safety and Environmental systems and contribute to policy development.
- Use appropriate equipment and materials for maintenance services, adhering to current legislation.
- Stay updated with developments in your trade or profession and attend courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Perform multi-skilled tasks, including mechanical isolation and fault finding, as well as minor carpentry and redecoration repairs linked to maintenance work.
- Complete administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including work records, stores issues, orders, estimates, and health and safety records.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance services, particularly in mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive approach to maintenance work and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with health and safety policies and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours rotas as required for operational effectiveness.
