Role and Responsibilities:
As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for:
- Performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts.
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Participating in quality assurance and service development initiatives.
- Traveling to various community sites to deliver services.
Essential Criteria:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree or diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or other relevant regulatory body.
- Experience in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A valid driver's license and access to a car, as the role involves visiting various community sites.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with advanced ultrasound techniques and procedures.
- Proficiency in working with specialized ultrasound equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid and active NMC Registration.
- Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse with medical proficiency.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
