Management Accountant

Reed Finance are working with a well-established organisation based in Livingston seeking a Management Accountant to provide crucial support to the Regional Financial Controller. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities including management information analysis, investment appraisal, variance analysis, and financial data manipulation. You will play a key role in informing strategic decision-making through the development of information systems and analysis.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with the day-to-day financial activities, including receivables and payables.
- Facilitate month-end regional reporting, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts.
- Help prepare monthly management accounts and contribute to year-end reporting.
- Take responsibility for preparatory work and successful completion of internal and external audits.
- Engage in investment appraisal and accounts analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and enhance information systems to improve financial analysis and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- QBE, AAT qualified or currently studying with one of the major accountancy bodies.
- Previous experience in SAP accounting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process change implementation with a drive to enact change.
- Positive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Confidence in delivering high-quality output to tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise, plan, and organise in a busy environment.
- Excellent team player with a willingness to work flexibly to meet organisational needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel.
