Our client, a distinguished litigation firm with offices in Newcastle, is seeking a Head of Finance / COFA to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced COFA or finance professional well-versed in SRA rules and regulations and eager to continue learning. As a senior position, it is best suited for candidates with 5-8+ years of finance experience.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with senior management on business planning, and providing expert guidance on financial matters.
- Reviewing, maintaining and updating the firms systems for invoicing and auditing purposes.
- Client invoicing and credit control.
- Management of cash flow.
- Ensuring compliance with processes, systems and future growth activities.
- Taking all steps required to ensure the firms compliance with the SRA's accounts rules.
- Reporting SRA accounts rules breaches to the SRA.
- Budgeting.
- Management of two junior accounts specialists.
- Being part of the firms growth plans.
