My client are seeking a high calibre motivated individual to join their team team.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate teamwork whilst also being able to work independently of others. Organisational and communication skills will be required to ensure the smooth operation of tasks. A positive and enthusiastic work ethic/attitude is required to integrate into the workforce.
A flexible approach is necessary for this position. Health safety and quality are paramount to ensure the tasks completed meet the expected objectives.
The role responsibilities include, taking and organising deliveries of goods including raw materials, chemicals, equipment and other consumables. Ensuring quality standards are met when receiving goods i.e., adhering to ISO requirements. Keeping production areas stocked with all necessary raw materials to ensure outputs can be achieved, adhering to strict safety and hygiene requirements in all areas across the site. Final packing and loading of all finished products, according to specific specifications for despatch of goods.
A specific training programme will be followed allowing enough time to become fully conversant with the job.
The position will be on a six-month trial period, after which, a review will be carried out to determine success.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a loading/unloading area and different types of forklift and warehouse equipment.
Reporting initially to the Lead and ultimately to the Operations Manager, the individual will work Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, 8am - 4pm and 1 weekend in 4, 5 hours each day, Saturday and Sunday (possibility to opt out if preferred), which is paid at enhanced rate and on top of the basic salary. 25 floating holidays plus bank holidays.
The basic salary for this position is currently £25,200 per annum. Hours worked above scheduled hours paid at time and half and double on Sundays.
