Job Description

Quantum Scholars is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a small primary school in Oxford. This full-time role starts in October half term 2024 and continues until the end of the academic year in July 2025. This is on a contract via Quantum Scholars. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher and contribute to a positive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Support individual students and small groups with their learning activities.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Participate in school events and activities.
  • Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Ideally, some experience within an educational environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development.
