Warehouse Operative
Our client is looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their leading international business of semi-finished ingredients, including chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and other bakery / pastry ingredients.
Hours Covering:
Monday to Sunday, 6am til 6pm or 6pm til 6am.
Hourly Rate:
Starting from £12.52 PH
Duties
- General food production duties.
- Complete inbound/outbound paperwork, unit/pallet labels, check sheets etc. as required.
- Load and unload pallet material.
- Unload bulk materials.
- Invert, wrap and put away pallets.
- Pick per FEFO (First Expiry/First Out) for internal and external orders.
- Conduct Inventory Daily/Cycle/Year End counts as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including ongoing training.
- Support business KPI targets.
- Ensure that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure a clean working environment which may include scissor lift operation as a trained operator.
Experience
- Ideally you will have experience working in a Food warehouse environment, but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- You should be punctual, have a keen eye for detail and must have a good understanding of English both verbal and written.
- Ability to work alone and as a team supporting colleagues especially during times of high workload.
- You will be comfortable with completing paperwork.
- Be willing to work additional hours to ensure continuity of warehouse operations.
