What You'll Do
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a vital role in our Fire Division. You'll be responsible for servicing, inspecting, and repairing fire vehicles, aircraft ground support equipment, and other machinery at customer sites. You'll handle fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs—keeping our clients operational and safe. This is a field-based role that requires independent work and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical inspections and repairs on fire vehicles and GSE equipment
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and fix issues
  • Produce detailed reports on accident-damaged machines
  • Represent TerbergDTS with professionalism and technical expertise
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations and our Safe System of Work
  • Manage parts inventory and keep company equipment in top condition
  • Work flexibly, including out-of-hours and on-call duties as required

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems (or equivalent)
  • Experience: Strong background in auto electrician fault diagnosis and repairs, particularly with HGVs or specialist vehicles

Skills:

  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of fire vehicles and diagnostic systems
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential; an HGV licence is desirable
