Elevation Recruitment Group's Senior Finance division are delighted to be working with a market leading manufacturing business in Leeds as they look to add a Cost Accountant into their established finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:
- Completion of extended trial balance
- Period analysis and reporting of labour, overhead and capital expenditure
- Preparation of the management accounts
- Collation of non-financial management reports and preparation of the monthly management pack for review.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Monthly preparation of draft accounts
- Quarterly update of standard costs
- Liaise with Divisional Directors and Group Production Controller to ensure that new products are been costed correctly.
Person Specification:
- Fully or part qualified CIMA/ACCA
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Extensive data analysis experience and understanding of financials
- Advanced level of Excel and ERP systems
- A strong understanding of stock and costing is desirable
