Participation Development Worker

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of care experienced children? Join our team as Participation Development Worker in South Wales working with children 8 - 14-year-olds to enhance their wellbeing and address emerging mental health needs through the delivery of positive activities and one to one support.

Key functions

  • Plan and facilitate positive activities with external providers to support the wellbeing of care experienced children.
  • Provide one to one support to address the unique needs of each child.
  • Empower children to lead and influence systemic change.
  • Assist the Team leader in the delivery of project outcomes.

Requirements.

  • Willingness to work some early evenings and some weekends
  • Experienced of working with children and understanding their development needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel independently across the whole of South Wales.

Closing Date is Wednesday 28th August 2024. Shortlisting will take place on Friday 30th August 2024.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 4th September 2024 - Face to Face at our Cardiff Office. The interview will consist of a 5 min presentation along with competency-based interview questions. The Topic of the presentation will be given with interview invitation.
