In order to cover a five-day-a-week role in Bishop's Stortford, Randstad is actively seeking an experienced candidate to join their friendly Primary School team. Someone that approaches working with students in a loving manner and is fair but firm. Utilising a variety of tactics to influence student's behaviour in a way that promotes learning requires you to be flexible and adaptive. Working in an educational setting should be second nature to you.
Developing young learner's enjoyment of learning and assisting with their education are the main responsibilities of a primary teaching assistant.
This is a long term, full time role available to start from 2nd September 2024!

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students
- Fluent level of spoken and written English.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one through Randstad Education)
- Flexibility to travel within (location)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- 2 recent professional reference
- Qualifications level minimum GCSE or Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
Roles and Responsibilities:

Supporting KS2 learners on a 1:1, small group, and whole class basis

Supporting SEN learners in KS2

Knowledge of various teaching methods and national curriculum

Ability to communicate with children and engage them with creative activities

Managing behaviour and supporting the class teacher

Be responsible for making sure each lesson has the correct preparation and materials
