Marketing Specialist

This newly created position is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Executive / Marketing Specialist to join my clients inhouse marketing team. This area of marketing has previously been managed by an external agency, so it's a great opportunity for someone to take ownership of this role and run these marketing functions day to day. The ideal candidate would be able to start end of October / early November to facilitate a hand over from the external marketing agency. You'll be joining a small inhouse team that manage marketing overall.

Hubspot experience is an absolute must as developing the capabilities of their CRM system in reaching clients and driving lead generation is a key area they are looking to develop.

Job Overview

As a Marketing Specialist / Executive, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimising marketing campaigns across multiple channels, with a strong focus on HubSpot, LinkedIn, and editorial content. You will craft engaging copy for a variety of marketing materials, including trade press releases, articles, editorials, and social media posts, while working closely with our teams to align all efforts with our brand strategy and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Press and Editorials:

Develop and maintain relationships with trade publications and industry editors.

Write and distribute press releases, articles, and opinion pieces to relevant trade publications.

Deal with the advertising contracts for trade publications

Monitor and track editorial opportunities and placement results to enhance brand exposure.

  • HubSpot Marketing Campaigns:

Develop, execute, and manage email marketing campaigns using HubSpot.

Optimise campaigns based on performance analytics and data insights.

Create and maintain landing pages, forms, and workflows to drive lead generation.

  • LinkedIn Marketing:

Plan, create, and manage LinkedIn content strategy to increase brand visibility and engagement.

Develop and execute LinkedIn campaigns, and focus on LinkedIn profile

Monitor LinkedIn analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and optimise accordingly.

  • Copywriting:

Write and edit compelling copy for various marketing materials, including product descriptions, blogs, email campaigns, sales events, trade shows, website content, and social media posts.

Ensure all content is aligned with brand voice and tone, and SEO best practices.

Collaborate with design team to create visually engaging content.

  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:

Maintaining good relationships with relevant teams and relevant stakeholders.

Working collaboratively, you support with gathering product information for stakeholder requests.

  • Organisation

Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage campaigns throughout an annual lifecycle, time management and prioritisation skills.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in marketing, copywriting, or content creation roles.
  • Proficiency in using HubSpot for email marketing, lead generation, and analytics.
  • Experience managing and growing a professional LinkedIn presence.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of marketing copy.
  • Familiarity with trade press and editorial processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven marketing strategies.
  • B2B experience preferred
