The role – IT Manager

The salary - £60,000 - £75,000

The location – Aberdeen

Hybrid working is available but expectation is 3-4 days on-site.

I'm working with a fantastic organisation who are leaders in their field as they look to add an IT Manager to their team. Based out of their head office in Scotland, they do have sites across the globe. The successful candidate will have experience in IT management positions and be adept at setting and delivering IT strategy on-time and on-budget. This will cover the full scope of their technology, including key infrastructure, security and their IT service desk, and will require taking a big picture approach.

Your day-to-day:

  • Develop and deliver the IT strategy for the organisation, considering the impact it will have across the full global estate.
  • Plan and implement IT projects as the organisation continues to evolve their IT estate.
  • Line manage the IT team, including development, coaching and mentoring.
  • Deliver a strong security offering.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Continue to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure best practice.
  • Manage the IT budget to ensure the department runs in a fiscally responsible manner.

About you:

  • You'll have experience as an IT manager including people responsibilities, and a desire to develop and mentor teams.
  • Experience managing IT projects, including requirement gathering and risk management.
  • Experience with stakeholders of various levels, of both a technical and non-technical nature.
  • Very strong technical and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Experience with developing IT strategy and budget management.
