Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who is dedicated to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to making a positive impact on the educational journey of young learners.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide individualised support to secondary school students with SEN, ensuring their educational needs are met.
- Write detailed reports for the SENCO and parents, documenting student progress and any challenges encountered.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
- Assist in fostering social skills and positive behaviours among students.
- Lead group and one-to-one sessions with SEN students to support their academic and personal growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience of 6 months to 1 year in a secondary school setting.
- Proven track record of working with SEN students at the secondary level.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills, capable of engaging with SENCO, parents, and staff.
- Minimum pass grade in Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent.
- Must provide evidence of highest qualifications.
- Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
