M&E Project Manager

A great opportunity for an experienced M&E Project Manager to join a leading building services business and work within their growing projects team. This position offers the opportunity to join a company that is rapidly growing and the chance to progress within the company.

Working as the M&E Project Manager you will work as the principal contractor on certain projects and other projects you will be managing contractors. Project values can range from the thousands up to a few million pounds.

Key Duties:

  • Oversee the planning, management, and delivery of projects across the region.
  • Follow, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and quality processes.
  • Lead in identifying and specifying project opportunities while ensuring the successful delivery of contractual commitments.
  • Exploit strategic opportunities to drive project development, increasing turnover and profitability.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage all project risks, including technical, statutory, health and safety, and commercial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain healthy and safe working conditions, ensuring effective implementation of health and safety policies across company and subcontractor activities.
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors and preferred suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions that meet quality expectations while managing risk.
  • Collaborate with other Operational Managers for the collective development of projects.
  • Develop project financial plans focused on revenue and profit delivery.
  • Ensure positive cash flow by establishing upfront payment schedules and submitting timely invoices/applications for payment.
  • Manage project delivery within budget constraints, aiming to maximise profit through cost reductions and efficient procurement of subcontractor services.
  • Implement and maintain control systems to ensure compliance with statutory, policy, and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of project management and delivery for a Building Maintenance/Services provider industry backed by significant job experience and training.
  • Typically has a minimum of 2 years' experience and holds M&E qualification.
  • You will have successful M&E projects throughout the whole life cycle.
  • Preferably possesses a relevant degree and/or membership in professional bodies such as MICE, MCIOB, MRICS, or equivalent.
  • Strong team player with excellent client-facing abilities.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, IT, security, and plumbing installations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Capable of demonstrating logical thinking, strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and initiative.
  • Well-organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.

Salary and Benefit:

  • Salary is up to £75,000
  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
  • 24 days holiday
