Bibby Financial Services have an exciting opportunity available for a reliable Business Intelligence Product Owner to join our team based in the UK. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 per annum.

The Business Intelligence Product Owner is an instrumental part of our Data Team. Our BI Product Owner will lead other members of the data team to provide focused backlog management and iteration planning. This is a fast-paced and demanding role working with others to deliver the very best colleague experience and requires strong visionary qualities and ability to see the bigger picture. Liaising with key stakeholders from across the business (Finance, Revenue, Marketing, Risk and Operations etc.) is a vital aspect of the job.

The Business Intelligence Product Owner is crucial for the success of the Data Team. The Product Owner is responsible for representing the customers voice, creating and owning a compelling product vision and providing clarity for the Development Team on the items to be worked.

Responsibilities as our Business Intelligence Product Owner:

  • Managing and prioritising the BI product backlog and mapping out project dependencies to inform the necessary sequence of development. This will include planning, refinement, review, and sprint
  • Working collaboratively within Agile principles throughout the product life cycle.
  • Leading the technical team members in the data team. To oversee the performance, development and well-being of team members. Determine the resource requirements and develop user stories ensuring they align to business benefit.
  • Scrum Master: Leading the daily stand-ups, sprint opening session and goals and sprint closure
  • Overseeing Development stages: With product priorities set, the product owner should spend a significant amount of time overseeing the actual development of the product ensuring change management and release process is adhered too
  • Supporting other members of the Data team, Strategic Data Team, and BFS to achieve the ultimate common Data ambitions and goals

What we are looking for in our ideal Business Intelligence Product Owner:

  • Proven experience in product management or project management related roles
  • Excellent understanding of methodologies associated with Agile working and Scrum master qualified
  • Knowledge of every aspect of the product development life cycle
  • Experience in Product backlog management using DevOps and GIT or other similar systems
  • A high degree of organisational skills are required, especially when controlling the product backlog.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of requirements gathering
  • Able to develop strong and pragmatic relationships with business SMEs, to ensure that their expectations are managed and are fully appraised with progress and plans
  • Experience of querying, analysing and reporting on data, from multiple systems/sources
