Join our team as a SEN Outreach Support Assistant in the Batley area, working within a specialist setting. This full-time position offers standard hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Located in a vibrant community, the school is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where all students receive tailored support to achieve their potential. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored assistance and guidance to KS3 students with SEN, ensuring their engagement and participation in learning activities.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and external professionals to deliver support and interventions both in school and within the community.
  • Implement strategies and techniques to manage and support positive behaviour, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing social skills, confidence, and independence, fostering their overall growth and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly in outreach or community settings.
  • Ability to provide effective support and guidance to KS3 students with additional learning and behavioural needs.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and learning outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and external professionals.
  • Own transport and business insurance due to the nature of outreach work.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without Sponsorship.
