Working for a top 10 main contractor operating across the UK in the infrastructure sector (Rail, Water, Highways, Aviation, Energy & Environmental)

Location: Birmingham
Hybrid working, maximum of 2 days a week in the office but this could be less depending on your competencies.
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 basic + Car or Car allowance + Bonus + Family healthcare + Package

Role Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a Main contractor and is amongst one of the top 10 Infrastructure providers in the UK. Working across Rail, Water, Highways, Aviation, Energy & Environmental on projects up to £1 billion in value.

This position is working in the Energy division with a mix of framework-based tendering and project based ECI schemes, values from £25m - £500m projects. You don't need specific experience just a good understanding of the first principles of estimating on projects within the Infrastructure sector.

Working with various internal stakeholders and project teams depending on your project / framework but part of the wider Pre-construction team. Sharing knowledge, lessons learned, and industry experience to ensure each tender is competitively priced and has a strong chance of being awarded.

As a Senior Estimator, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To provide estimating support with bids and contracts to ensure robust pricing, risk management and governance
  • To assist and advise the Senior Management Team on commercial influences and risks around any bids
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to produce accurate and timely estimates/cost data
  • To ensure where possible supplier/subcontractor terms are back-to-back with the client requirements and if not to impact assess any deviations
  • Responsible for prioritising workload and supporting the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needs
  • Day-to-day liaison with, and influencing of, key stakeholders, such as customers and operational colleagues
  • To develop and implement changes to the process, following an understanding of the need to make changes to improve performance
  • Travelling to sites to ascertain the scope of works as & when required

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification - Ideally HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Estimating Experience - in any of the following sectors (Water, Rail, Highways, Energy, Power, Aviation)
