Job Title: Fitter/Assembler (Aerospace)

Location: Cheltenham

Contract Details: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy morning shifts, Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:00, with an early finish on Fridays at 12:30.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling and fitting aerospace components, following detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Conducting wet/dry installation of bushes and bearings, ensuring precision and accuracy
  • Utilising liquid nitrogen for the installation of bushes
  • Applying sealant to ensure airtight and secure connections
  • Performing riveting, drilling, and countersinking tasks to meet quality standards
  • Conducting regular inspections and tests to ensure component functionality and compliance with safety regulations

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in fitting and assembling aerospace components
  • Strong knowledge of working law drawings and assembly techniques
  • Proficiency in wet/dry installation of bushes and bearings
  • Experience with the installation of bushes using liquid nitrogen
  • Competence in applying sealant for secure connections
  • Familiarity with riveting, drilling, and countersinking techniques

Desirable Skills:

  • Qualification in engineering or a related field
  • Experience with advanced aerospace technologies
