Overview of the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finding improvements within the team, mentoring, coaching and enhancing staff performance. The ideal candidate will come from an insurance background.

Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development:

    • Lead, coach, develop, and mentor a team of highly motivated sales agents to achieve high levels of DWP and revenue through our network of schemes.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in customer service within the sales teams.

  • Recruitment and performance management of sales teams.

Sales Strategy and Process Improvement:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and oversee sales processes to maximise growth opportunities within current revenue streams.
  • Identify and drive process improvements to enhance KPI metrics such as conversion rates, add-on conversions, retention, and average GWP.

Product Integration and Readiness:

    • Ensure that sales teams are adequately prepared and trained for the successful launch and sale of new products.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate new offerings seamlessly into the sales process.

Other:

    • Understand and carry out obligations in relation to FCA Consumer Duty
  • Other ad hoc tasks and duties as directed.

Skills and Experience
Leadership and Team Development:

    • Highly experienced in leading, developing and managing sales teams to maximize their potential and achieve targets.

Industry Knowledge:

    • Extensive knowledge of the customer journey within a commercial insurance environment.

Strategic Thinking and Execution:

    • Proven track record in strategic thinking and execution to achieve GWP/revenue targets.

Communication and Relationship Building:

    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

  • Relevant industry experience in commercial insurance
  • Demonstrated success in a senior sales leadership role
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
