The Role: As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership and management of our nursing home. You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations, ensuring that our high standards of care and regulatory compliance are maintained. Your leadership will drive a culture of continuous improvement, resident satisfaction, and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality care.
  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of care staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure the nursing home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements, including CQC standards.
  • Resident Care: Maintain and enhance the quality of life for residents by ensuring their individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
  • Budget Management: Manage the home's budget effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining excellent care standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the home.

About You:

  • Qualifications: Must hold a valid Registered Manager's qualification and be registered with CQC.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Registered Manager or in a similar leadership role within a large elderly nursing home.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a large, diverse team.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to resident care.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and best practices in elderly care.
  • Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively, with a focus on delivering value while maintaining high standards of care.
