Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 depending on experience

Our client, a leading company in the metals industry, is seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the purchasing department, maintaining excellent communication with suppliers, sales teams, and the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Collate and process orders throughout the day, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Update and maintain the system with accurate information from over 200 suppliers.
  • Liaise effectively with the sales team and warehouse to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate with suppliers, chase orders, and ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Handle orders, manage shortages, and input data into the system to determine order values.
  • Perform weekly stock top-ups and manage orders from the website.
  • Review shortage reports daily and address stock orders as needed, while handling ad-hoc tasks efficiently.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and couriers to track and expedite orders and materials.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or administrative role preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and react swiftly to changing demands.

  • 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday / 08:00 - 11:00 every 8 Saturdays.
