An Outstanding SEN School in Guildford is expanding and looking to add enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to its team on a temporary to permanent basis. With the school expanding, we are looking for additional staff members who can support our mission of delivering high-quality education tailored to each individual child.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Supporting students in their academic and personal development, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Using positive behaviour management strategies to promote a calm and supportive atmosphere.
  • Contributing to the planning and implementation of learning activities tailored to the needs of each child.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school setting, is preferred but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and helping them succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary training to meet the needs of the school and its students.
