This Kent business provides materials to the construction, landscaping and agricultural sectors. They're looking for a Logistics Manager to join the team, reporting to the Group Transport Manager. This is a Maternity cover contract, 12 months initially with potential to become permanent.
The Job...
- Efficiently planning and routing vehicles, with a focus on fuel economy and satisfying clients requirements.
- Taking a commercial approach - maximising vehicle daily/weekly earning, looking for opportunities to backload where possible, obtaining the best rates.
- Liaise with the workshop, making sure that vehicles are booked for PMI and MOT inspections on time and with minimal disruption.
What you'll bring...
- Ideally experience within a similar role
- Good attention to detail, communication and planning skills.
- Experience with Mandata, Sage and Microsoft package would be great but not essential.
What's on offer...
