Description
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Provide recommendations to improve systems and financial performance
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Coordinate with management in decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organisational policies
Profile
A successful Senior Accountant/Management Accountant should have:
- Part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) qualification
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations
- Preparation of management accounts for (European experience preferable)
- Ensuring payroll is accurate and records are up to date
- Responsible for local statutory filing and working with external tax advisors.
- Responsible for completing corporation tax returns.
- Responsible for carrying out intercompany reconciliations and supporting intercompany month end close.
- Assisting with VAT reconciliations.
- Completion of month end journals.
- Fixed asset reporting.
- Approval of exchange rates.
- Working with global finance teams to meet reporting requirements
