A leading construction and facades company based in Surrey is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be based in Redhill and will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's commercial interests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented Quantity Surveyor to work with a reputable firm known for excellence in the industry. The company works globally in the design, supply, and installation of high-performance rain screen cladding and traditional handset cladding systems.
The Quantity Surveyor's Role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will oversee the administration of JCT contracts, ensuring that all commercial aspects of projects are managed efficiently. Responsibilities will include variation costing, valuation submissions, cost planning, and estimating. The Quantity Surveyor will also conduct site visits, manage commercial details from the site, liaise with client QS, and ensure accurate contract understanding and final account agreements. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
The Quantity Surveyor
To be considered for this Quantity Surveyor role, candidates must have:
- Extensive experience in JCT contract administration.
- Strong skills in variation costing and agreement.
- Proven ability in valuation submission and payment tracking.
- Experience in acceleration cost structuring and pre-qualification submissions.
- Proficiency in cost planning, estimating, and conducting site surveys.
- Competence in managing commercial details and progress measurement.
- A thorough understanding of contract review and comment processes.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with client QS and commercial tracking.
