Our client is a rapidly scaling membership organisation within the entertainment and subscription sector. With ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their senior management team. This role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence and supporting strategic initiatives to sustain and enhance our market position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficient processes and seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with organisational goals, focusing on B2C engagement and retention within a subscription-based service environment.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for operational enhancement and efficiency, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the CEO to define and execute the company's vision and operational strategy, contributing to strategic decision-making and organisational growth.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate principal risks related to projects, operations, and staffing.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor company performance through data analysis and metrics, implementing corrective measures as necessary to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of department heads and professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting dedication to organisational goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure the organisation complies with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and legally compliant workplace environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (required).
  • Proven experience as COO or in a relevant senior operational role, managing large teams within a subscription-based service organisation.
  • Strong competency in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and corporate governance.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational improvements and achieving business objectives.
  • Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business functions including HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
