Our client is a highly reputable principal contractor with a proven track record of delivering exceptional projects across various sectors. From commercial maintenance works to large-scale heritage refurbishments, their commitment to quality and innovation sets them apart in the industry.

The Role:
As a QS/Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our clients team, utilizing your expertise to tender for small works projects and ensure the successful delivery of special projects, which can range up to 2 million in value. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough cost analysis and estimating for small works projects, including commercial maintenance works, refurbishments, alterations, and extension works.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver accurate estimates.
  • Managing tender processes from inception to submission, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
  • Overseeing project management duties, including cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and schedules.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience as a QS/Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering processes and regulations.
  • Experience tendering for small works projects, with projects up to 2 million in value.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage projects across various sectors, including healthcare, residential, and large-scale heritage refurbishment.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
