An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and energetic Sports Coach to join a vibrant Catholic primary school in Balham, working across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. **Sports Coach
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality sports and physical education sessions for KS1 and KS2 pupils, fostering a love for physical activity and promoting health and well-being.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), can participate fully and benefit from physical education.
- Support SEN children in PE lessons, adapting activities where necessary to meet their individual needs and promote inclusion.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, including after-school clubs, and help plan school sporting events and competitions.
- Act as a positive role model for students, encouraging teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship.
**Sports Coach
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Sports Coach, ideally within a primary school setting, and a strong understanding of the needs of KS1 and KS2 children.
- Ability to support special needs pupils and adapt physical activities to accommodate their individual learning and physical requirements.
- A relevant qualification in sports coaching or physical education is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a positive, enthusiastic approach to teaching children.
- A commitment to the values and ethos of a Catholic school environment.
