Finance Manager – up to £65,000 – Ramsbury, Wiltshire

The Role

Are you highly organised with a keen eye for detail? Do you have the experience and skills to lead a finance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

As a Finance Manager at Gentell, you will lead the transactional accounting team at our Ramsbury site. You will play a key role in providing real-time financial support to the Management Team, driving decisions that impact the success of the site. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reports, as well as continuous improvement of processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the transactional accounting team.
  • Partner with the Management Team to provide financial analysis and support.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes to meet Group reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly management reporting.
  • Oversee year-end reporting and manage legal entity audits.
  • Ensure all statutory and fiscal reporting is completed on time.
  • Maintain a robust control environment within finance and across the business.
  • Provide hands-on support during busy periods, including cash and invoice postings, VAT, and ad-hoc duties.
  • Identify skills gaps and train team members as needed.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and manage projects as required.

The Person

We are looking for someone with:

  • Has experience managing teams in a finance role.
  • Possesses strong technical accounting skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Has experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Is a qualified accountant with several years of post-qualification experience.
  • Is familiar with ERP systems like SAP, SAGE, or BCP.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Is methodical, persistent, and highly organised.
  • Can build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Is capable of solving problems and preventing them from recurring.

Desirable:

  • Experience with system implementation.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
