Our client is looking to add a Clerk of Works to their team on their commercial site in the Sunbury-on-Thames. You will be to manage the safety of all works across site, to issue permits for disciplines including hot works, working at height, excavation etc, provide H&S guidance to the technical, facilities and project teams.
Key Duties:
- Monitor all high and low-risk activities on site, collaborating with contractors, project managers, the engineering team, and the soft services team.
- This includes managing building permits through the electronic permit system and issuing permits for high-risk activities such as working at heights, ground disturbance, and hot works.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all work is conducted safely.
Responsibilities includes:
- Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, providing feedback to work owners and contractors, and drafting Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the engineering team.
- Daily interactions with contractors and work owners are essential, along with conducting daily work safety audits.
- The candidate must also participate in regular job-related training, such as the management of work at heights, hot works, and confined spaces.
- They will work as part of a team of three dedicated to the control of works.
Salary and Benefits

- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
