Job Title: Stores Person
Location: Crawley
Employment Type**: Permanent / Contract**
Shift: Mon:12:45 - 17:15 Tuesday - Fri 08:00 - 17:15, Occasional Overtime weekends
Salary: £24 - £26k DOE

It is essential you are prepared to work Overtime, this is paid @1.5 times basic hourly rate

Primary Roles
Picking Parts
Picking of electrical and mechanical parts to a printed picking list.
Booking from stock using computerised MRP system.
Creating shortage lists.
Organising picked parts into order for assembly department.

Stock Movement
Driving counter-balance fork truck, using stacker and pallet trucks. Un-loading and loading of lorries and putting stock away.
Loading goods into Lean lifts.
Re-stocking internal stock bins to fulfil Kanban requirements.

Goods In
Receiving goods, checking quantity and quality.
Booking in using MRP system. Putting parts away

Spares Order Picking
Picking parts for spares orders.
Careful handling of those parts that are very fragile / expensive.

Stock Control
Counting stock items, identification of parts and assisting with reconciliation.

Secondly Roles
Packing (Systems & Spares)
Assisting, when required, with the packing of finished systems onto pallets.
Packing spares orders, when required, into cardboard boxes for UPS collection.

Driving
Driving a range of company vans and cars. Collection and delivery of various parts.

Assembly work
Occasional light mechanical assembly work.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
Maths & English GCSE C grade or equivalent
Must be computer literate and have experience of computerised stock systems. (We use Microsoft Navision and are upgrading to Dynamics 365)
Previous experience working in a warehouse / Stores environment with electrical/electronic and /or mechanical widgets, preferably widgets ranging in size and type from, for example, fixings, washers, filters, machined metal parts, fine glassware, motors, ducting, fans, control units, and lengths of extrusion. This could include: Goods In, Picking Parts, Put Away & Stock movement / checks.
Must speak clear fluent English

Advantageous Qualifications & Skills
Current Counterbalance fork-lift licence and trained in other lifting equipment - would consider those who have expired. Need to have driven forklift previously though.
Candidates who have worked with computerized carousel storage systems will have an advantage. Our goods are stored in Lean Lifts.
Full UK manual driving licence (with no more than 3 points on)
