They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join their vibrant faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality geography instruction to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. The role involves developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging geography lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities to become a successful Geography Teacher.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the educational standards and requirements of the school and the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and initiatives.
  • Support extracurricular activities and school events as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Preferably previous Geography teacher experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the geography curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
