Director of Finance - Bedmax Ltd - Northumberland

Bedmax Ltd was formed in 1984 and produces equine bedding. The business has grown from a cottage industry into one that is a long term Royal Warrant holder supplying discerning customers worldwide, with an annual turnover in excess of £20m through a variety of sales channels.

The company continues to be privately owned and has grown steadily in its lifetime, both organically and via strategic acquisition.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Finance will sit on the senior management team and carry responsibility for accounting, tax, systems, reporting whilst playing a key role in the commercial aspects of the business.

At a detailed level, this will include

Financial reporting, monthly and statutory to the Board

Budgeting and forecasting

Cash management

Managment of a small finance and admin team

Taxation related issues including R&D tax credits

Systems implementation and ongoing development thereof

Providing decision making support to key functional areas including sales and production

Liaison with key professional advisers

The company embraces hybrid working, but will require the successful candidate to be on site at least 3 days a week
