Position: Credit Control Manager

Join a leading construction and property development company as a Credit Control Manager. In this vital role, you will report to the Finance Manager, ensuring efficient credit control processes and maintaining the financial health of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debt Management: Monitor outstanding debts and follow up with clients to ensure timely payments.
  • Credit Risk Assessment: Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing clients to minimise financial risk.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Payment Processing: Oversee the processing of incoming payments and accurately record transactions.
  • Client Communication: Maintain professional and effective communication with clients regarding overdue accounts and payment plans.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on credit control activities, highlighting key metrics and areas of concern.
  • Compliance: Ensure all credit control activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance credit control efficiency.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Credit Controller, preferably within the construction or property development sectors.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of credit control processes and financial regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
