Project Manager

- Location: Hybrid (1 days a week in office, Sheffield ideal)
- £450-525 per day (inside IR35 - umbrella) depending on experience
Reed Professional Services is seeking a Project Manager to join our client's leadership team. This role involves taking accountability for the management of one or more technology-related projects, ensuring delivery against agreed metrics for time, cost, and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background with a proven track record of delivering change projects.
The Project Manager will be working on a Tech refresh (Infrastructure, e.g. upgrading legacy OS, AIX, Redhat or Application components).
Day-to-day of the role:
- Define and agree on project scope using established tools and techniques.
- Engage all project stakeholders, prepare a stakeholder matrix, and develop and implement a communication plan.
- Support or lead in securing investment by providing estimates and identifying risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions.
- Produce and distribute key mobilisation artefacts, run project initiation workshops, and implement governance.
- Lead the Project team to deliver against agreed metrics for time, cost, and quality.
- Manage the project in line with an agreed methodology and act as a Systems Integrator.
- Create and maintain a schedule baseline under strict change control.
- Establish and maintain clear project controls and operate financial control.
- Comply with data and cyber security obligations and ensure appropriate Business Change activities are in place.
- Escalate issues via established governance routes when necessary.
