**We're Looking for a Self-Starter!
Are you an experienced Management Accountant with a background in the education sector? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can hit the ground running with minimal handover?
We're working with a well-respected education trust that urgently needs a Management Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact, supporting both the Trust and its academies.
**About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll be pivotal in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Trust and delivering timely, accurate management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and statutory accounts
- Support financial planning and reporting across the Trust
- Work with finance officers to maintain ledgers, asset registers, and ensure balance sheet reconciliations
- Support procurement, cost-saving initiatives, tenders, and contract management
- Assist budget holders with financial management and provide detailed reporting
- Line management of Finance Officers, supporting their development
- Ensure strong governance, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Safeguard the welfare of students across the Trust
**What We're Looking For:
Experience working in school or education finance is essential
Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills
Confident handling payroll and understanding teachers' pensions
Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
Ability to support a busy finance team without extensive training
This role offers flexibility with hourly or day rates available and part-time options will be considered. You will need to be able to start immediately.
