Our client, a well-respected transport business based in Ipswich, is looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner to join their fast-growing team. You will be part of an energetic team delivering fantastic service to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day trailer planning (allocating resource and reloading trailers)
- Maintaining haulier relationships
- Working as part of a team
- Maintain and develop a link between customer service and operations
- Despatch and tracking of trucks & drivers
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Experience in trucking/haulage industry
- Experience in similar role or market
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge in UK geography, driver hours and law, trailer transport, shipping ferry/port knowledge and last but not least UK haulage market.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Good knowledge of IT systems
