Geography Teacher - Manchester - January start
A dedicated and passionate Geography Teacher is required to work at a popular 'Good' secondary school in Manchester, to join them on a full-time basis from January, teaching Geography to key stage 3 & 4 classes for 2 terms, until the end of the current academic year.
This position is five days a week, full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved within the school and department, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings when they arise. You will also be required to be involved in the planning of the curriculum, and also deliver captivating, high standard lessons that will interest and stretch their learning. ou will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way, in tandem with AfL.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Geography
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Geography
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
