Finance Assistant

We are delighted to be supporting a well-known business based in Newmarket as they seek to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team. This role has become available due to a departure within the team, and within the role, you will report into the Financial Controller. This role will be a fully office based position.

As the incoming Finance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the day to day running of the accounts department and be tasked with the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Processing sales invoices
  • Reconciling aged debtors
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Expense posting and processing
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Additional duties as per the full job description

As the successful candidate for this role, you will have previous experience working in a similar level accountancy role, with good knowledge of accounting principles. Knowledge of Sage 200 or Xero would also be considered advantageous. The attributes you will display within this role include:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills on both a written and verbal level
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
